Ingredients

The oats are considered to have added sugars.

Oats are broken down by enzymes to create oat base that is used in milks. This process creates simple sugars which is what gives many oatmilks their signature sweet taste. These simple sugars created through enzymatic processing are required to be labeled as added sugars.

Our Greek-Style Yogurt gets its 10g-13g of plant-based protein from a combination of organic rice protein and organic cashews. We chose organic rice protein after years of recipe development because it helped us create the thick, creamy texture and clean taste we were looking for—without the bitterness that can sometimes be found in plant-based protein products.

Like all of our ingredients, our protein sources are certified organic and completely dairy-free.

The live cultures/probiotics are added after the product has been pasteurized.

All of our yogurts—both spoonable and drinkable—contain live and active cultures, with at least 1 billion CFUs (colony-forming units) per serving at the time of manufacture.

We use a variety of probiotic strains to support gut health and deliver great taste. Our spoonable yogurts feature a blend of six probiotic strains, while our Drinkable Yogurt includes a unique mix of nine. Here's the complete list of probiotic strains we use: S. Thermophilus, L. Plantarum, B. Bifidum, B. Lactis, L. Acidophilus, L. Casei, L. Paracasei, L. Rhamnosus, and L. Bulgaricus.

Our flavored products are made with organic flavors to create a more consistent flavor experience across crop years and growing regions. All of our organic flavors are strictly vegan. While the exact formulations are proprietary, they are made using essential oils, essences, and extracts derived from organic plant sources—including fruits, vegetables, herbs, spices, seeds, roots, bark, and other botanicals—as well as microbes to deliver consistent, concentrated flavor.

We embrace that Foragers have a broad range of dietary objectives, constraints, and concerns. That's why we also make plain versions of many of our products with no added flavors, including Cashewmilk, Cashewmilk Yogurt, and Drinkable Cashewmilk Yogurt.Yogurt, Drinkable Cashewmilk Yogurt.

Our Drinkable Cashewmilk Yogurt products contain in excess of 1 billion live active cultures per serving at the time of manufacture. This culture count meets or exceeds industry accepted criteria such as “Live & Active Cultures” seal program of the National Yogurt Association (NYA).

Studies have shown that including live & active probiotics into your diet can have positive impacts on gut health and overall wellness.

Probiotics are live, beneficial bacteria that reside in your digestive tract (aka “gut”). They help to balance out the mix between helpful and harmful bacteria in your body, which is known as your “microbiome”.
In order for probiotics to work effectively, they need the help of prebiotics. Prebiotics are a type of fiber and they serve as fuel
or “food” for probiotics.

Cashews delicate flavor and silky texture make them better for creating a neutral and creamy dairy- like taste experience. We searched far and wide to find cashews that met our very strict standards: organic, ethically sourced and sustainably farmed. We found them in Vietnam and the Ivory Coast where they don’t need irrigated water, an increasingly precious resource, to thrive. We work with a small group of farmers who care deeply about their workers and about producing the best cashews possible.
